Creating your Webcam Video Resume

If you do not have access to a camcorder, and if you are not within one of our Pro Video Availability Areas, this may be the option for you. Done correctly, a webcam video can produce an acceptable internet resume. Be aware, however, that a webcam video resume will not be as powerful as one of higher quality, and will not portray the image of credibility that is so important in the business world.

At left you can view an example of a webcam-generated resume. You'll immediately see how these types of resumes differ from the other types that we accept. But, done right and with a little care and planning, it is possible to produce an acceptable online resume.

At Rezbuzz, we provide many different options for you to connect with employers with your own video resume, including the technology of creating one with your webcam and uploading it directly to your profile. Simply go to your Video Resume Manager on your homepage click the Create A Webcam Video Resume option and your ready to create your own video resume!

Find a quiet location with good lighting.
Dress professionally and make sure the location is clean and neat.
Place yourself in the center of the screen.
Look into the camera lens or just off camera.
Speak clearly and concisely.
Keep your answers short, so that the finished video is between 1-2 minutes.

	Here are a list of questions that that have been devised by our recruitment experts that we require that you use when creating a webcam resume:
	Where did you (or do you) go to college, and what was your major, and why? -- (Or tell us something interesting about your background) What are your major accomplishments both personally and professionally? What are your future goals (next 3-5 years)….or what motivates you? What makes you unique? ( this is your chance to set yourself apart- with special skills, interests, alliances etc)

Since there is no editing in a webcam video resume, you will need to answer all 4 questions in one take. Do it a few times if necessary and once you feel like you’ve nailed it, simply upload the video to your profile.
